Unexpected Cancellations & Closures

Unified Government Closing at 3:00 p.m. Monday - Other Department Services Updated

Due to high winds expected to increase over Monday afternoon and evening, general office operations of the Unified Government will close by 3:00 p.m. for non-emergency personnel on Monday, September 11.

Updates to the following department service changes are also in effect:

- Leisure Services - All programs, parks and facilities are closed.

- Solid Waste - Trash and recycling collection services for commercial curbside, front end loader, and roll-off has been suspended for the remainder of Monday. Additionally, night collections in the Central Business District will be suspended. Residential collection has already been cancelled on Monday.

- Transit - Bus service is suspended for the remainder of Monday, September 11 and will operate under a "break" schedule on Tuesday, September 12, meaning year-round route service frequency will take place only once per hour and routes 21, 22, 23, 28 & 30 will not be in operation. - Jurors - All jurors summoned for the week of September 11 with summons numbers 1-300 should report Wednesday, September 13 at 8:30 a.m. to the Courthouse Atrium on the 2nd floor. All jurors summoned for the week of September 11 with summons numbers 301-517 are excused on Wednesday September 13, but must visit the Clerk of Courts website or Facebook page on Wednesday after 6:00 p.m. for further instructions.
