ATHENS-CLARKE COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT MEDIA RELEASE

24 May 2012 – prepared by Hilda Sorrow

 

BURGLARY

 

The Loblolly Dr residence of MATTHEW MAIKIS and TILER WAYNE KUYKENDALL was burglarized between 0900 and 1730 May 23.  TVs, video game consoles, lap tops, guitars, video games, and cats were stolen.  The total value was $4,420.  (05-1571)

 

BURGLARY / ROBBERY

 

WINFRY COSBY said someone knocked on the door of his W Broad St residence around 0020 May 24.  When he opened the door, two males with bandanas over their faces pointed hand guns at him and forced their way inside.  They searched the residence and removed a pair of shoes, a video game system, and cash.  They also removed a wallet from a purse owned by KIMBERY KING.  The total value was $562.  COSBY advised he did recognize one of the suspects.  (05-1594)

 

 

 

 

Captain Clarence Holeman will be on call for emergency management purposes until 0800 Tuesday, May 29, 2012.
