Community Tree Program Calendar

  1. Community Tree Council Monthly Meeting

    July 13, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ 2555 Lexington Road

    Regular meeting of the ACC Community Tree Council, a citizens advisiory board considering all tree related matters in the county. Arbor Day activities, a tree fair in the fall, review of ordinance related provisions for trees, oversight of a commemorative Trees for Tomorrow Program and educational initiatives are among the annual activities for the Community Tree Council.

    The Keep Athens-Clarke County Beautiful Litter Index is a simple tool that allows a quick visual assessment of the amount of litter present in our community. Citizens can print a litter index or request a printed copy from KACCB. They can rate roads at their leisure and submit their ratings to KACCB by July 19th.

  2. Summer Rain Barrel Workshop

    This workshop is full. Please contact anna.truszczynski@athensclarkecounty.com to get on the wait list for our Fall workshop. We can only guarantee barrels for registered participants. The workshop will meet in Shelter 1. We will start with an informational session, followed by a hands-on barrel build. Each registered participant will leave the workshop with a free rain barrel to install at home.
