triangle NEW! The Athens-Clarke County Superior Court Clerk’s office is proud to announce that effective July 6, 2010 UCCs may be filed online.

UCC stands for Uniform Commercial Code Financing Statement. Financial institutions nationwide file them to secure financing on collateral such as furnishings, inventory, equipment, etc,... and sometimes they are tied to real estate.

In an effort to provide ease and convenience, Athens-Clarke County Superior Court Clerk’s office, in conjunction with the Georgia Superior Court Clerks’ Cooperative Authority, has developed an online electronic filing portal.

Go to http://efile.gsccca.org register and begin filing electronically.

triangle ACC residents 18 years old or older are needed for the trial and grand jury pool. For consideration, contact the Clerk of Superior & State Courts at 706-613-3190 and provide information.

triangle The Clerk of Courts is the Clerk of Superior Court and the Clerk of State Court. The Clerk of Courts keeps the official record of all civil and criminal actions filed in each court, the minutes of the Courts, notary appointments and requested filings of DD2-14 form from US Military Service personnel (certificate of release or discharge from active duty). The Clerk of Superior Court is also the official custodian for all land records.
