Mission Statement
The mission of the Athens-Clarke County Corrections Department
is to provide a humane and safe environment for inmates, staff,
and the community at large through use of modern correctional management
techniques and supervision.
Clarification: The
Corrections Department operates the "prison," while the Sheriff's Office
operates the "jail."
