Come out and play!   Many of our playgrounds are open sunrise to sunset.  The Clarke County School District playgrounds are open weekdays after school hours and sunrise to sunset on the weekends.

The larger Bishop Park playground is located in the rear of the gymnasium building.  A smaller playground is adjacent to Field Three.  The playground is open Monday-Friday at 8:00 a.m. and Saturday-Sunday at 9:00 a.m.

ACC Leisure Services maintains seven playgrounds at six of the  Clarke County School District elementary schools.  These playgrounds, located at Barnett Shoals, Barrow, Chase Street, Fowler Drive, Gaines, and Winterville Elementary Schools. 

These serve as neighborhood parks after the end of the school day and on weekends.  This neighborhood park program was a SPLOST IV project.

The playground is located north of the community center and was completed in May 2011. The East Athens Community Center playground is open sunrise to sunset.

Located across from the facility's parking lot, the playground was replaced in 2007.  The playground is open daily, sunrise to sunset.

The playground is located adjacent to the lake.  The Memorial Park playground opens at 8:00 a.m. Monday - Friday and 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

This playground was built in 2009 and includes a spider web climbing apparatus. The Reese and Pope Park playground is open daily, sunrise to sunset.

The new pirate ship-themed playground opened in December 2010 at Rocksprings Park. The playground is open daily, sunrise to sunset.

Sandy Creek Park has two playgrounds.  The first playground is located on the main circle, near the beach.  The Dino Tot Lot is for younger children is near the boat ramp area.  The playgrounds open at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday-Sunday in the summer.  In the winter, the playgrounds open at 8:00 a.m.

The playground is located in the rear of the park between the ballfields.  The Satterfield Park playground is open daily, sunrise to sunset.

This unique playground, located on the Whit Davis entrance to Southeast Clarke Park, was constructed in 2004 by 1,500 volunteers. It is the largest volunteer built playground in the state of Georgia.

The area includes elevated walkways and climbing structures providing children a view of the park from above. The Tot Lot especially for children ages 2 to 5, includes swings. Castle Towers flank either side of the entrance to the World of Wonder Playground

In 2008, the dragon was added to the side of the playground.

The playground is open Monday-Friday at 8:00 a.m.; Saturday-Sunday at 9:00 a.m.
