MACORTS

The Athens-Clarke County Planning Department is designated as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) by the Governor. The Department, in conjunction with GADOT, is responsible for carrying out the transportation planning process as mandated under federal legislation. The ACC Planning Department receives federal and state funds for highway / multi-modal planning activities and transit planning activities.
