PROJECT II-21: LOCAL ROAD RESURFACING
GROUP A (FY01 Pavement Management Program) Referendum Statement: This project consists of the resurfacing and repair of existing public roads throughout Athens-Clarke County. These funds combined with the State of Georgia Grants will be utilized to resurface public roads based on the pavement condition ratings resulting from regular field inspections. This project is a next installment of the SPLOST IV Program. Project Location: Various roads throughout the entire Athens-Clarke County area.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
  • This project is considered an REOCURRING Project which is envisioned to be appropriated funds on an annual basis. This project is envisioned utilize a combination of SPLOST 2000 funds, Athens-Clarke County General Funds and State of Georgia Department of Transportation L.A.R.P. program funds.
  • The Pavement Management Program (Local Road Resurfacing) is let on an Annual Basis but the contract is structured to allow for two additional on-year periods providing satisfactory performance. Because of the fact that there will be multiple construction packages over multiple years, the Project Description for this project has been given a Group Letter which identifies a specific construction package. The 2000 (FY01) Pavement Management Program will be designated as Group A.
