21 - MULTIMODAL TRANSPORTATION CENTER Campaign Statement: Facility to be utilized by city and university bus services, taxis, airport shuttles, limousine services, pedestrians and cyclists; improve ride share opportunities; and plan for the possibility of commuter rail. Project Location: Bounded by Foundry Street and East Broad Street Original
Project Budget: $ 2,566,000 PROJECT CONCEPT: This project is proposed to consist of: ( 1 ) hiring appropriate Professional design services, ( 2 ) development of a Masterplan which includes both Intra-modal and Inter-modal modes of transportation and a Facility Program along with Site Criteria and Standards. It is the vision of this Government that these elements be utilized during the Site Selection Process to identify and recommend a specific site for the approval of the Mayor and Chair and Commission. ( 3 ) If necessary Property Acquisition will be implemented. ( 4 ) The Design of this facility will be to accommodate the two main categories of transportation, Intra-modal and Inter-modal. ( 5 ) Priority of funding for Construction will be determined as part of the Design Development process.
