Project Location: On Sandy Creek Nature Center property (225 acres), Highway 441 N., one mile north of the perimeter.

Additional SPLOST Revenues Allocated: $ 200,000.00 (for Interactive Learning Ctrs.)

Additional Funding: $ 57,713

Revised Project Budget: $1,757,713

Operating Budget Impact: $138,390 /Year

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:The project is 11,500 gross square feet

BUILDING PROGRAM

• SITE:Twenty-nine standard visitor parking spaces, two ADA accessible spaces, six staff parking spaces, three bus drop-off points and overflow parking for major events.
• EDUCATIONAL: Two classrooms / multi-purpose rooms with storage and audiovisual.
• ADMINISTRATIVE: Director’s office, Admin. Secretary Office, Volunteer Coordinator’s Office, Education Specialist space for six, work room, volunteer room with shower and restrooms, two meeting rooms, and a library resource room.

TECHNOLOGY CORRIDOR

• MAIN ENTRANCE: Reception, covered staging area, gift shop and storage room.
• EXHIBIT: Exhibit hall, exhibit corridor, animal care room.
• SUPPORT: Men’s and women’s restrooms, family restroom, clivus toilet system, catering kitchen, building storage, mechanical / electrical rooms, and loading dock.
