CDBG & HOME Grants

CDBG stands for Community Development Block Grant.

HOME refers to the HOME Investment Partnerships Program, created under the National Affordable Housing Act of 1990.

The above grants require applicants meet one of the three criteria:
1. Benefiting low to moderate income persons.
2. Minimum of 51% individuals benefiting from the program must meet this criteria.
3. Preventing or eliminating slums or blight, or Meeting other community development needs having a particular urgency because existing conditions pose a serious threat to the health & welfare of the community & other financial resources are not available to meet such needs.





Supportive Housing Program (SHP) & Continuum of Care Grant:

The SHP grant promotes the development of supportive housing and supportive services to assist homeless persons to transition from homelessness to live as independently as possible.

Continuum of Care is a community plan to organize and deliver housing and services to meet the specific needs of people who are homeless as they move to stable housing and maximum self-sufficiency. it includes action steps to end & prevent the return of homelessness.
