| The goal of the
Tax
Commissioner's office is to provide professional, reliable and
expedient
service to the taxpayers of Athens-Clarke County. Whenever there is a
new
exemption, or other issue concerning your tax bill, we want to be able
to
provide you with the necessary information so there are no
complications.
We depend on our computer database, and to some extent, file copies of records for mailing addresses of all taxpayers. In order for us to provide necessary information to you, we need to maintain records that are up-to-date. Requests to have the mailing address for your tax bill or other correspondence changed, simply email us the necessary change or submit it in writing to: Clarke County Tax Commissioner, P. O. Box 1768, Athens, GA 30603. Please provided adequate identification for each property you wish to have changed. Unfortunately, we can not accept requests that effectively
say
"change all my property". We rely on you to indicate which
properties
are to be effected by your request. Please identify the property
by
owner name (as it appears on the tax digest) and property address. |
