Journey through the Stars

Join us for our planetarium program in the Sky Center. We will journey through the night sky, exploring the great beyond.

Ages: Ages 5 and older.  Children younger than 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Saturday, August 18, 2018: Meteor Shower and Planets Galore

Come enjoy a view of what August skies hold with concepts about meteors and the planets visible in the night sky

Time: 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
Fee: $2/ACC resident, $3/Non-resident

Fall 2018:

Ages:  Ages 5 and up. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Date: Saturday, September 15: Fall Skies- Learn what constellations, stars and planets are visible and what astronomical events are coming up in the fall.  Register online for this program

Saturday, October 20:  Cassiopeia - Learn about the constellation Cassiopeia and her story. Discover how Cassiopeia can help you find the North star.  Register online for this program

Saturday, November 17:  Asterisms vs. Constellations- Did you know the Big Dipper isn’t a constellation? Learn what an asterism is and how it is different than a constellation.  Register online for this program

Pre-registration is required.

Fee: $2/ACC resident, $3/Non-resident  
Registration:   This program is not scholarship eligible. Fall registration begins Saturday, August 4 at 9:00 a.m.  Non-residents may register starting Monday, August 6 at noon.         Location:  Sandy Creek Nature Center, 706-613-3615
