Zoe grew up outside of Baltimore, Maryland. She has always been interested in art, especially art that concerned the human form. She moved to Athens to study Medical Illustration at UGA and received her BFA in Art Education to teach her love of art to others. Zoe is heavily influenced by her artistic mother, who she calls for advice on EVERY project and her punk rock father who can only be described as The Dude plus Gandalf if they had earned a PhD in Mathematics. Zoe’s artwork usually incorporates the human form and anatomy with more surreal elements. Right now she has been focusing on using particular organs in her artwork, which was launched by studying the small intestines from a real cadaver. Zoe is getting ready to make a big move to Detroit, Michigan to teach art to high-needs students.
