Georgia Wild Side

This adaptive program will provide opportunities for persons with cognitive disabilities to explore and learn about animal and plant life native to Georgia. This program will provide a safe and hands on experience to satisfy participant's curiosities about nature and bring forth a new appreciation to the world around us. Activities may include viewing/handling of animals, crafts, experiments, educational seminars, nature outings and more.

Due to the nature of the program, Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department is not able to provide one-on-one supervision. Staff will be present to assist with facilitation and provide adaptations for art skill development. If one-on-one supervision is needed, a parent/guardian or other care-giver should be present for the duration of the program.
