Public Input Requested on Characteristics, Qualities & Priorities of New Police Chief

Athens-Clarke County Manager Blaine Williams asks the public to provide input until Friday, December 21 about what they believe should be the characteristics, qualities, and priorities of the new Athens-Clarke County Police Chief.

"As we consider Police Chief candidates throughout our search process," said Williams, "it is important to me that any member of the community has an opportunity to express their thoughts as to what are important characteristics, qualities, and priorities of the next Police Chief that we should consider during our reviews."

Feedback can be provided through an online form at www.accgov.com/policechief, print forms available at City Hall in the Manager’s Office (301 College Avenue, Suite 301) and at the Police Department's East Precinct / Headquarters (3035 Lexington Highway) during normal business hours, and voicemail by calling 706-224-3202 and leaving a comment.

All comments are due by the end of the day on Friday, December 21.

For more information, contact the Manager’s Office at 706-613-3020.
