Summer camp registration continues online with opportunities available for children from ages 4-16. Space is limited.

Camp listings are available at www.athensclarkecounty.com/leisure by clicking on the "online registration" button.   Parents must create a free online account at www.athensclarkecounty.com/leisure before registering.

Scholarships are available for qualifying ACC residents. Parents who wish to apply for a scholarship must do so in person at a Leisure Services Department facility office at least five business days prior to registering for a program or camp. Applicants must have a valid email address. More information, including required documentation, is available at www.athensclarkecounty.com/scholarship.

Make It a Safe Summer - Learn to Swim!


The Leisure Services Department offers swim lessons for children at the Bishop Park, East Athens Community Center, and Lay Park pools.   
Registration is underway online at www.athensclarkecounty.com/leisure by clicking on the “Aquatics” tab. Space is limited.

“Swim School” at Bishop Park  is scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Swim Classes are available at 9:00 AM, 9:50 AM or 10:40 AM.  

“Swim School” at East Athens Community Center and Lay Park is scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays this summer.  Swim Classes take place at 5:30 PM.

“Parent/Tot Swim School” at Bishop Park is for children, ages 6 months-3 years, and is scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  Classes are available at 9:50 AM  or 10:40 AM.

Each session fee is $33 for Athens-Clarke County residents and $50 for non-county residents. Scholarships are available for qualifying Athens-Clarke County residents.

Live Art:  Murder and Mayhem!


The Leisure Services Department presents Athens Creative Theatre's  “Live Art,” a unique musical revue featuring more than 25 Broadway songs.  Audience members will experience interactive classic Broadway tunes as playbills come to life.

This installment of the ever popular Live Art series is titled "Murder & Mayhem" and showcases music from the darker side of Broadway including Carrie the Musical, Chicago, Les Miserables, School of Rock, Sweeney Todd, Young Frankenstein, and others.

This special musical revue takes place Thursday-Sunday, April 21-24 at Quinn Hall at Memorial Park.  Show times are 7:30 PM on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, with a Sunday matinee at 3:00 PM.

Tickets are $15 for adults; $12 for students, seniors, and children. Tickets are now on sale through the Morton Theatre Box Office located at 195 West Washington St. Monday-Friday: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM and 3:00 - 6:00 PM by calling 706-613-3771 or online at www.mortontheatre.com.
