ACC Leisure Services Department
Tales on the Porch

Sit a Spell...

The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department will present a special evening at the log house at Sandy Creek Nature Center on Friday, October 14 from 7:30 – 9 PM.

"Tales on the Porch" will begin with everyone getting toasty by a fire, roasting marshmallows and sharing stories. Storyteller Jackie Elsner will tell the tale "The Hound" by William Faulkner. The story takes place in a cabin in the woods by a creek, so the log house is the perfect setting! After the story, take a night hike through the woods....if you aren't too scared!

The program is for ages 13 and older.  The fee is $3 for ACC residents and $5 for non-residents.  Online registration is underway under “adult programs,” or registration is accepted at the door.

For more information, please call 706-613-3615.
