The Athens Farmers Market is back at Bishop Park on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. - noon.


The Athens Farmers Market fosters a dynamic economic and educational connection among community members, farmers, and artisans by providing a marketplace for food grown locally using sustainable farming methods and for locally produced hand crafted goods and prepared foods.

Turn it Up!


Athens Creative Theatre is proud to revive their "Old Time Radio" series, including radio shows from such wonderful programs such as the LUX Radio Hour, the CBS Mystery Hour with tales from Sherlock Holmes, Ozzie and Harriet, Dragnet, Father Knows Best and Little Orphan Annie!

So turn down the lights, gather round the radio dial and bring your decoder rings, as ACT takes you back in time and wanders through our great radio past!

The performance takes place Thursday-Sunday, April 27-30 at Quinn Hall at Memorial Park located at 293 Gran Ellen Drive in Athens.  Show times are 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings, along with a Sunday matinee at 3:00 p.m.

Tickets are $15 for adults; $12 for students, seniors, and children (ages 12 and under).  Tickets are on sale by calling 706-613-3771.  
Out of this World

Out of this World...


Blast off into space to learn about planets and stars during this special program. You don’t have to live in Hollywood to know how a star is born. Learn about a star’s life from nebula to black dwarf.

This program is for ages 5 years-Adult (children younger than 13 must be accompanied by an adult). The fee is $2 for ACC residents and $3 for non-residents.  Online registration is underway.

Swim School

Dive into Swim School!


Make it the safest summer, yet ... learn to swim!
Swim School online registration continues with limited space available in all sessions.  

Classes take place at Bishop Park, East Athens Community Center, and Lay Park.  Sessions run three weeks and take place in the morning or evening depending on location.
The fee is $33 for ACC residents and $50 for non-residents.
