100 PRINCE – BUILDING CONSTRUCTION


Request:  New construction of a four-story structure, approximately 52 feet in height, and adjacent to the chapel on Prince Avenue. This building contains approximately 27,000 square feet of commercial space on the first two levels, and two floors of apartments above. Behind this structure is an apartment building, approximately 54 feet in height, and a two-level, 223-space parking deck. On the parcel fronting Childs Street, seven smaller, multi-family buildings are proposed. Building D at the rear of the Prince Avenue parcel (and adjacent to the Pulaski Heights neighborhood) will resemble a larger version of the Childs Street buildings, while maintaining approximately the same height (no greater than 40 feet from ground level to the peak of the roof). There are 178 bedrooms throughout the entire development. The planned development was approved in May 2016 and site plans for the project are still under review. The project includes electrical, mechanical, plumbing and structural work.
