Art

Art!

This year’s theme and title is “Connect.”  This theme was selected, as art is a wonderful way to discuss the needs of our time, to describe who we are, and to reach out to our neighbor, our city, and beyond.

With an amazing team of public school art teachers the Lyndon House hosts hundreds of artworks created by our future generation in this biannual exhibit.   Each artist, in grades Pre-K through 12 uses his or her experience and creativity to investigate a theme through painting, fiber, printmaking, sculpture and more.

The opening reception is planned for Saturday, November 11 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. The Clarke Central High School Honors Chamber Strings, under the direction of Dr. Eunice Kang, will perform for a minimum of 45 minutes beginning at 2:00 p.m.

The exhibition opens Saturday, November 11 and continues through Saturday, January 13.  All exhibitions are free and open to the public during regular gallery hours of Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 9:00 p.m., and Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  The Lyndon House is closed on Saturdays when there is a University of Georgia home football game.
