TYPE I – PRELIMINARY PLANNED DEVELOPMENT


Request:  Approval of a preliminary planned development is requested for three properties at 980-994 S Lumpkin St. for a private dormitory. The request is to combine the properties for a 110 student dormitory with 2 person units (bedroom and bathroom) and communal study, dining, lounge, exercise and amenity space on the upper floors. The first floor is planned to have 4,166 square feet of retail space along with a 2,336 square foot chapel. The development sits atop two floors of parking which accommodates 74 residential spaces. The request is to rezone the property from C-O (Commercial Office) to C-N(PD) (Commercial Neighborhood, Planned Development) and to change the future development designation from Community Institutional to Main Street Business.

TYPE I – SPECIAL USE PERMIT AMENDMENT


Request:  Change a former Special Use Permit to allow a new right-in/right-out driveway for Chestnut Grove Baptist Church off of Timothy Rd. There are no other changes to the property. The request requires a change to the future development designation from Community Institutional and Traditional Neighborhood to Single Family Residential.
