1. 220 Dearing St – Rear Porch Addition


Request:  The purpose of this certificate of appropriateness application is to request a rear porch addition of 35’x12’ with a 2’ overhang. The roofing will be standing seem metal with a hip on the rear covered porch. The rear door will be a French 18 lite fiberglass. Porch detail will be fibre cement wrapped columns. KDAT porch floor will be solid stained.

2. 257 Hill St – Rear Garage Addition


Request:  The purpose of this certificate of appropriateness application is to request a rear garage addition along the existing side driveway. It will connect to the existing sible story portion of the house. Stairs will provide access to a second level above the garage with an office, bedroom, and bath. All proposed material will match existing conditions. The applicants are also proposing a new steel wrought style fence 40-42” in the front.

3. 387 S. Milledge Avenue – Modify openings on addition.


Request:  The purpose of this certificate of appropriateness application is to request an amendment to a previously approved COA. The proposed changes are as follows: change three double hung windows in the rear hyphen from operable double hung windows to blind windows. Removal of a double hung window on the east wall of the rear addition. Addition of a vertical mullion in the storefront panel at the top of the north wall of the rear hyphen. This change was predicated by a code requirement for fire separation of the stair behind this wall from adjacent space at the second floor.
