ACCESSORY STRUCTURE SIZE


Request:  An application has been filed requesting a variance from the Zoning and Development standards for accessory structures. Section 9-15-12 limits the size of accessory structures in single-family residential zones to 25% of the size of the principal structure on a lot. The request is to construct an accessory structure that is 47% of the size of the house on the property in order to replace an existing 440 square foot storage building with a 576 square foot garage and storage building.
