America Recycles Week
#BeRecycled

America Recycles Day is Nov. 15th

Since 1997, communities across the country have come together on November 15 to celebrate America Recycles Day. It is one day to educate and motivate. One day to get our neighbors, friends and community leaders excited about what can be accomplished when we all work together. One day to make recycling bigger and better 365 days a year. Get involved! For general information and resources, visit http://americarecyclesday.org/.

At Athens-Clarke County Recycling Division we aren't just celebrating one day, we are celebrating all week. Check out our calendar of events below:

ALL WEEK LONG

BIN IT & WIN IT
Visit us at one of our 9 recycling drop-off sites around Athens to recycle your items. We will be looking for recyclers to reward with a prize for proper recycling etiquette and correct items in the bin!

Remember:

  1. Loose is best -- dump your recyclables in without a bag - “Hang Loose!”
  2. No Food, Film, or Foam -- rinse containers and keep out bags and Styrofoam
  3. Check the large square sticker on the bins for complete Do’s and Don’ts

READ FOR RECYCLING PROMOTION & CONTEST
