Appeal of Hearings Board Decision

Request:  The property owners are appealing the decision of the Hearings Board that denied an increase in accessory area from 25% to 39% of the principal structure. The Hearings Board denied the variance request on September 9th, 2015. The zoning code permits 3 accessory structures at Single Family Residential properties, but the combined square footage of the structures may not surpass 25% of the primary structure.

Request:  The applicant is seeking to amend a planned development for the Triangle Plaza shopping center. The request is to add rear storage for the Union Store which is an existing spirits retailer. The work is proposed over existing concrete, but will require a sidewalk to be installed around the side of the building for ingress/egress access. The addition will match materials and forms of the current shopping center.
