    Any photographers out there? ACC Stormwater is in the process of putting together our 2020 Stormwater Calendar with water and nature scenes from all around Athens. This calendar will be used for outreach purposes. If you'd like to submit a photo to be considered for the calendar, please email it to stormwater@accgov.com with the name of the person who took it along with a brief description of where, when, and why it was taken. It might get published in our calendar!

  2. Summer Rain Barrel Workshops

    July 31, 2019, 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM @ Dougherty Street Governmental Building Auditorium

    Join ACC Stormwater for a series of FREE rain barrel workshops on Wednesday, July 31 at 3:30 and 5:30 PM at the ACC Planning Auditorium (120 W. Dougherty Street). Workshop participants will learn about stormwater runoff and rain barrel uses, maintenance, and installation. The presentation will be followed by a hands-on barrel build, and all supplies will be provided (only ONE barrel per registered participant). Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Please refrain from registering if you have already attended one of our rain barrel workshops in the past two years.     Extended Office Hours The busiest time for the Athens-Clarke County Water Business Office (WBO) is when college students are moving in and out of their housing in July & August. The WBO makes over 15,000 customer contacts during this time. To better serve our customers, the WBO will open for two Saturdays during the “rush”.
